Lithium Chloride has many applications. It is extremely hygroscopic, and is widely used in dehumidification systems to remove moisture from the air in industries such as food processing and horticulture. It is also used as a tracer for waste water, as a brazing flux, and as an electrolyte component for the manufacture of speciality batteries.
